Juan Morales, Staff Writer
Juan Morales is a senior at Newport Harbor High School and a staff writer for the Beacon, where he covers culture and the arts with the goal of representing the school’s diverse campus and its different communities. Besides being a Stephen King fan, he runs cross country and track for the school. He has also been skating for almost four years, a sport that he considers a “form of art” as well as a way to connect with his friends. He lived in Mexico for a couple of months in sixth grade, but he plans on either going to community college or attending a school in the Bay Area. With his caffeine addiction to keep him energized, Juan is excited to be a part of the Beacon, where he hopes to showcase his writing, photography and design skills.
