Food

• NMUSD Grab and Go Meals: Mon-Fri 11-12:30pm, no paperwork required
• Cal Fresh: California’s food stamps program, up to $194 a month per household member
• OC Food Map: Interactive map of soup kitchens and food pantries in Orange County
• Costa Mesa Family Resource Center: Monthly food distribution, first Saturday of the month at 1pm (bring your own bag)
• Cool Water Ministries: Monthly food distribution, second Saturday of the month, 12-2pm (sign up the Monday before)
• Power of One: Food distribution 3 Saturdays a month (8-11), curbside pickup Thursdays & Saturdays (8-11)
• Saddleback Church: Free grocery distribution Tuesdays & Thursdays 10-1, Saturdays 9-11
• Share Our Selves: Free groceries, Mon-Fri 8-4:30

• Emergency Broadband Benefit: Government program offers temporary discount on internet bills, up to $50 a month for qualifying low-income families
• CA Dept. of Education: List of low-cost internet plans offered by various providers
• Stay Connected OC: List of resources to get internet access
• Internet Essentials: Low-cost internet plans, starting at $9.95 a month
• Cox: Low-cost internet plans during the pandemic, two months free, then $9.95 a month
• Verizon: Low-cost internet plans for qualifying families, starting at $19.95 a month

Healthcare

• SOS Children & Family Health Center: Pediatric dental and medical, well-baby and well-child checkups, yearly physical exams, routine vaccinations, mental health and support services
• SOS Children & Family Dental Center: Dental services offered Mon-Fri
• Hoag Mental Health Services: Low-cost psychotherapy, no one turned away for lack of funds or insurance
• MOMS Orange County: No-cost pre-natal health education for pregnant women

Housing

• City of Costa Mesa: Rental assistance and eviction protections
• 211OC Emergency Rental Assistance: Up to $10,000 in financial assistance for unpaid rent or utilities due to COVID-19 (applications due Feb. 28, 2021)
• Project Hope Alliance: Services to end homelessness

Family Services

• Newport Mesa Family Resource Center: Provides social, educational, health and supportive services for all families
• Human Options: Offers a variety of services for people experiencing domestic violence, including counseling and supportive services, emergency shelter, and transitional housing
• COVID-19 Funeral Assistance: FEMA will provide financial assistance for funeral expenses related to COVID-19

Clothing

• Assistance League of Newport Mesa: Thrift store; Operation School Bell clothing, school supplies
• Working Wardrobes: Help finding a job & work clothing, Mon-Fri 8:30-5pm

Immigration & Legal Assistance

• Public Law Center: Provides free civil legal aid for low-income residents of Orange County, as well as assistance with legal issues related to immigration
• Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA): Low-cost legal services for naturalization, DACA renewal, family petitions, etc.

After-School & Neighborhood Programs

• Boys & Girls Club Costa Mesa: Offers a variety of programs and services, including a Teen Center open Mon-Fri 2-7pm
• Save Our Youth: Offering a variety of online classes and programs until they are able to reopen in person
• Shalimar Learning Center: Offers a variety of programs to promote student success
• Girls Inc.: Offers a variety of programs for girls, conducted virtually until they are able to reopen in person
