Kids, teenagers, adults, and grandparents. They all wait for the month of February to swing around, preparing for parties and predicting scores. Whether you’re a sports fan or not, there’s no denying that the Super Bowl is a game where everybody sits down and watches. People can be with all their friends at a huge party or even by themselves, but this game has them all up on their feet, nervous and concentrated on the next play. This year’s Super Bowl included the Eagles from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the New England Patriots from Massachusetts. Though the Eagles were definitely seen as the underdogs in this game since they have never won a Super Bowl before, many fans still rallied behind them. While the Patriots were returning to the Super Bowl for the second year in a row after winning five championships, which is the second most in NFL history. Although there are many Patriots fans ready to win a sixth championship, Eagles players and fans were hungry to beat their fierce competitor to take home the win for their city and teammates. Each athlete plays for the man beside them, all of them working to achieve the same goal. Both teams worked incredibly hard to reach the top, but in the end, the game came down to who wanted it most and who was willing to push past any challenging obstacles. With the Patriots ahead during the third quarter, the Philadelphia Eagles came together and showed how strong and capable they truly were of winning the 2018 Super Bowl. All in all, the Eagles took home the win, defeating the Patriots with a score of 41-33. Although many Patriots fans were left devastated, the Eagles were ecstatic and proud of one another to call themselves the 2018 Super Bowl Champions for the first time in franchise history.
